This week has involved a lot of networking within our tribe to provide better opportunities for our citizens and aid in federal servicing for our people.
The Governor’s office did at least send me a confirmation that my request for a meeting was received. Though I have still heard nothing from the BOC.
I spent over an hour talking with a representative from the Corp of Engineers about the 404 permit process and other concerns about the Franklin county prison project. We ended our conversation on a positive note and I came away with a great deal of useful knowledge.
We attended the documentary screening that was put on by the group You Are The Power at the Charleston community center. Every one in Franklin County needs to watch this as it was a great film for reminding people what they are fighting for. I will share as soon as it is released.
I have a full week ahead of me and I look forward to the great opportunities that are coming in the near future.
