Good afternoon,
I am writing this letter to request that it be sent to the Board of Corrections, or appropriate individual.
As a Tribal representative I have made several requests to different offices that our leadership be given an audience to discuss our concerns with the Franklin County prison project.
Several months ago the previous Chairman of the Board Of Corrections, Benny Magness, heard my request and proposed a motion for the BOC to meet with our leaders at one of the Board ‘s meetings. The motion died on the floor and no meeting was conducted.
I have since also written letters to representatives of Vanir, as well as their CEO Mr. Avalos. Mr. Avalos responded “We work on behalf of our client, and any inquiries regarding this matter must be directed to them.”.
Given the fact that there is a newly appointed Chairman of the Board of Corrections, I am hoping that another attempt will be made to pass a motion for a meeting.
